Tuning
GOROSHI Custom
Hand-tuned loot, zombies, weather

03 Server Features

Custom-tuned for squad survival. Not vanilla. Not easy. Not forgiving.

🧟

Shamblers Only

Classic Romero-style slow zombies. Deadly in groups, manageable alone. Don't get surrounded — that's when they kill.

No sprinters
🦷

Bite-Only Infection

Only bites transmit Knox Infection. Scratches and lacerations hurt but won't turn you. Bandage up, keep fighting.

Scratches safe
🔥

Horde Sieges

Periodic mass zombie events target player bases. Build strong, stockpile ammo, or relocate. Walls will be tested.

Dynamic events
🎭

NPC Bandits

AI-controlled hostile survivors roam the map. They shoot on sight, set ambushes, and carry valuable loot.

High risk / High reward
🌙

Dynamic Seasons

Full seasonal cycle with real survival consequences. Winter kills the unprepared. Stock wood, insulate, layer up.

4 seasons
🚗

Expanded Vehicles

Dozens of driveable vehicles with realistic mechanics. Find gas, repair parts, hotwire if you have the skill.

50+ vehicles
📦

Tuned Loot Tables

GOROSHI-customized loot distribution. Enough to survive, not enough to coast. Military zones have the good stuff.

Custom balance
📡

Comms System

In-game walkie-talkies and radio channels for squad coordination. Set up a base radio to broadcast server-wide.

04 XP Multipliers

Tuned progression rates. Fast enough to feel progress, slow enough to earn it.

05 What Happens In-Game

The world evolves around you. Here's what the first month looks like.

Day 1
Arrival
You spawn with the starter kit. Find shelter immediately. Barricade doors, block windows. Night is coming and you are not ready.
Day 3
Scavenging Phase
Hit nearby houses for food, weapons, medical supplies. Mark locations. Don't overextend. Every trip should have a purpose and a route back.
Week 1
Base Established
Secure a permanent location. Build walls, set up rain collectors, establish a farming plot. Water and electricity are about to shut off. Be ready.
Week 2
Utilities Collapse
Power and water are gone. Generators become critical. Gasoline becomes currency. Every candle, every match matters now.
Month 1
The Long Game
Canned food runs out. Your farm feeds you now, or you starve. NPC bandits get bolder. Hordes get bigger. Winter approaches. Adapt or die.
Month 3+
Endgame
You are the apex or you are dead. Fortified compounds, armored vehicles, a squad of specialists. Or a lone wolf who mastered every skill. There is no middle ground.

10 Survival Intel

Hard-earned lessons from the dead zone. Click to expand.

01 How do I handle groups of zombies?
Never fight more than 3 zombies at once. Kite them in a wide circle, pick them off one by one as they spread out. Getting surrounded is instant death. Use buildings with two exits so you always have a way out.
02 Can zombies open doors on this server?
No. Zombies cannot open doors on GOROSHI. But they can and will break them down if enough pile up. Barricade entry points with furniture and planks. A closed door buys you time. A barricaded one buys you a lot more.
03 What's the best early-game strategy?
Sheet ropes are your best friend. Hang them from second-floor windows, destroy the stairs, and you have an instant safe house. Zombies can't climb ropes. Use the second floor as your base of operations for the first week.
04 When do utilities shut off?
Water and electricity shut off after a few weeks. Fill every container with water early. Stockpile batteries. Build rain collectors as soon as possible. Once the taps go dry, you are on your own resources permanently.
05 How do skill books work?
Read skill books BEFORE doing the activity. A skill book at the right level quadruples your XP gain. Don't waste actions without the multiplier. Check bookshelves in schools, libraries, and post offices first.
06 Are cars safe to use?
Cars are loud. Driving through town attracts every zombie in earshot. Park outside town limits and walk in, or be ready to fight the entire neighborhood. Also, keep gas and spare parts stocked. A broken-down car in zombie territory is a coffin.
07 How does weight affect gameplay?
Keep your character's weight in check. Underweight means less carry capacity and weaker melee. Overweight means slower movement. Both kill you in different ways. Eat balanced meals and monitor your nutrition panel.
08 How do bandages and wound infection work?
Ripped sheets from clothing make bandages. Sterilize with alcohol or boiled water. Dirty bandages cause wound infection — this is different from the zombie virus and is curable. Change bandages regularly and keep antiseptic on hand.
09 Should I fight or run?
When in doubt, RUN. No loot is worth your life. Gear is replaceable. Your character is not. Live to scavenge another day. Only fight when you have a clear advantage and a clear escape route.
10 Night raids — what do I do?
Sleep in shifts if playing with a squad. Night raids happen. Someone should always be awake to sound the alarm. Solo? Board up, sleep on the second floor with a rope escape, and keep a loaded weapon next to your bed.
