Loot Jackpot

1% chance per container to hit a jackpot drop containing rare items. Every loot run is a gamble.

Zombie Bounty

Stamina Boost

Buy Project Zomboid

Purchase and install Project Zomboid on Steam. Launch once to generate config files, then close.

Switch to Unstable Branch

Right-click PZ in Steam → Properties → Betas → select unstable. Build 42 requires this.

09 — Survival Tips

New to Zomboid or this server? Read these before your first night.

01
Use your silencer. Your starter M9 has one. Unsilenced shots attract every zombie in a 200m radius. Keep it quiet or pay the price.

Food is rare. Farm early. Canned food and fresh food are both scarce. Start farming on day 1. Seeds from foraging, trowel from any shed.

Claim your safehouse immediately. Any building works. Once claimed, your loot is untouchable, fire can't burn it, and you respawn there on death.

Night is dangerous. Zombies are nocturnal. Daytime is relatively safe for looting. At night, stay inside or bring heavy firepower.

Population peaks at day 42. Early game is manageable. By day 42, zombie density triples. Build your base and stockpile before then.

Cleared stays cleared. Zombie respawn is off. Every zone you clear is permanently safe. Expand outward systematically.

Use /base and /home. Set your base marker with /base as soon as you settle. /home teleports you back. Lifesaver when things go wrong.

Kill streaks pay off. 5 kills in 10 seconds = full stamina. 50 total kills = rare weapon drop. Play aggressive, get rewarded.

Watch for weather alerts. Blizzards and storms are announced automatically. Being caught outside in a blizzard with no shelter is a death sentence.

Loot everything anyway. 1% jackpot chance per container. Literature is extremely rare but 3x XP reading speed makes every book worth its weight in gold.
